After Thumbing through her library book she puts it in her quilted purse and sits with both hands clutching the flowered quilted handles on her lap. Her seat partner starts to get up and is jostled by the bus and falls back into her seat. "Don't wanna fall," she says half kindly, or maybe it was kind just her deep rhaspy voice makes it sound not nice. "IF THAT GUY OVER THERE WOULD NOT HAVE HIS FEET SO FAR INTO THE AISLE YOU MAY NOT FALL WHEN YOU WALK OUT!" she screams pointing to a man who clearly couldn't pull his feet back any further than they were. "HE'S NOT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION. TOO BUSY ON HIS PHONE! UGH!"
I look to the woman behind her and we both just shake our heads at each other, both seeing there is clearly nothing wrong like Mabel is pointing out.
She exits on Menominee. Two block walk down until she climbs the steps to her building. Unlocking the door to the condo she won in the divorce, she's greeted by 5 cats all vying for her attention.
